WHEN NOT TO USE HORMONES

We strive to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) can offer significant benefits, but it’s crucial to be aware of potential contraindications. Patients with a personal history of breast cancer, uterine cancer, or untreated endometrial hyperplasia should avoid HRT due to the increased risk of cancer recurrence or progression. Additionally, individuals with a history of venous thromboembolism, active liver disease, or those who are pregnant should not undergo HRT. It is also contraindicated for patients with undiagnosed vaginal bleeding or those allergic to hormone therapy components. Always consult with your healthcare provider to discuss your specific medical history and any concerns you might have. BHRT can be used safely if above contraindications are not present.
